It’s interesting how you don’t actually see Jason at all in this trailer, yet the character has since become a horror icon. I guess that must have surprised the people who made it!
That’s because his character evolved, which is an often forgotten piece of trivia. You don’t see Jason until the second movie, and in that one, he’s wearing a burlap sack over his head. He doesn’t get the hockey mask until the third one, yet that is how he is most remembered. The reboot reinterpreted these events, which was kind of lame considering the twist ending on the first movie was the best part.
Also, it’s hilarious that this is one of the early roles of Kevin Bacon, and what a way to die.
That’s why I can’t bring myself to see reboots of movies like this, they suck the fun right out of it!
